We Say...
It's inevitable that in any genre supposedly comprised of two equal parts, someone is bound to lean further in one direction — and, rather fearlessly, the Mr. T Experience chose the role of a pop band. Lead by songwriter and cardigan sweater enthusiast Dr. Frank (probably the least threatening figure ever to play Gilman Street), Love Is Dead's bubblegum punk eventually resulted in a version of Elvis Costello and the Attractions' Get Happy! for the terminally bummed punk set. And, after breaking up nearly twice before the album's recording, it even rejuvenated the band's wilting career.

They Say...
Wearing their Ramones influences even more prominently on their sleeves, the MFX "Starship" returned with another knockout album. "Dumb Little Band" is an honest reaction by a dumb little band that was left behind by their punk rock Gilman Street peers who hit the big time. Most of these songs, including "I Just Wanna Do It with You," "Ba Ba Ba Ba Ba," and "I Fell for You" (among others), are winners.
