  • They Say...

The bridge between Robert Hampson and Scott Dawson's previous work in Loop and the drumless space aesthetic perfected on subsequent Main projects including the Firmament and Hz series, Dry Stone Feed is arguably the pivotal release in the duo's catalog, a mesmerizing work essential to understanding their past as well as their future. Opening with the grinding "Cypher," each successive track systematically strips away another element of conventional musical design, gradually obliterating cherished notions of structure, shape and form to arrive at "Pulled from the Water," an epic environmental noise collage which itself gives way to the title track, a pulsating, buzzing alien abstract. Disturbing, gripping and ferociously brilliant.
