Following up on the success of the first volume in the Select Cuts From Blood and Fire series released a year earlier, this second volume again features a number of early-2000s producers remixing reggae classics. Some of the songs featured here that get the remix treatment include the Scientist's "Step It Up," Yabby You's "Rally Dub," Max Romeo's "Valley of Jehosaphat," and I-Roy's "Look a Boom." If you enjoy classic reggae, modern remix culture, or both, you should find much to savor here. There are plenty of reggae legends here like King Tubby, Horace Andy, and I-Roy, as well as plenty of classic songs.
