  • They Say...

Sacred Site collects a decade's worth of Michael Stearns' soundtracks, scores and previously unreleased music. After traveling to Indonesia, Thailand, Egypt, and Brazil on scoring assignments, Stearns delved deeper into the regional and cinematic elements in his music, with poetic and authentic results. Included here are "Baraka Theme" from Ron Fricke's film exploring spirituality; a suite of pieces from Fricke's study of Western society, Chronos; as well as independent pieces like "Twin Flame." The 12 compositions on Sacred Site match the grand scope of the IMAX and wide screen films from which many of these pieces originated.
