  • We Say...

Since its inception in 1990, the Too Pure label has been synonymous with artistic risk. The first label to take a chance on artists like PJ Harvey and Th' Faith Healers is still stubborn and single-minded today, issuing edgy and singular releases from artists like Scout Niblett and Shooting at Unarmed Men. This sampler offers the perfect handshake with the Too Pure ethos. There's the nasty, gnarled post-punk of Scottish group Mclusky, the pointed dance-punk of The Rogers Sisters and the gorgeous, spacious music of Young People. Though they may be different sonically, they're hewn together by a similar ethic: Music that takes chances fearlessly and ferociously.
