  • We Say...

Ain't digital music great? This excellent trio's radio session was once only available on vinyl — in limited quantities, no less. But now, Wilco's lead guitarist Nels Cline and Seattle improv vets Wally Shoup (alto sax) and Greg Campbell (percussion) can be heard in all their glory to anyone able to click their mouse a few times. The trio came together for Sonarchy Radio, a live in-studio session recorded at Jack Straw Productions and broadcast on KEXP Radio. Cline, as you might expect, slowly makes his way around Shoup's expressive sax playing, while Campbell lays down quivering fills and shards of snares. It's three improv masters at the height of their game. What more can you ask for?
