  • They Say...

Monkey Wrenching the New World Order is a collection of political speeches culled from various political events protesting the World Trade Organization. Some of the better speakers behind this movement are represented here, including respected author Noam Chomsky, Biotic Baking Brigade spokesman Agent Apple, syndicated columnist Alexander Cockburn, and infamous anarchist Craig O'Hara. Cockburn stands out as being one of the most interesting speakers, as his witty comments and clear opinions keep the listener's interest. Some of the other notable speeches include Rahula Janowski's hilarious tale of throwing pies at politicians, O'Hara's detailed description of attacking corporate businesses, and Howard Zinn's explanation of conspiracy theories. Really, this album will be of interest to those looking to find out more about the anti-WTO movement. Some of the speeches can be very academic, but overall this is an interesting album that will appeal to a very specific group of listeners.
