  • They Say...

Although this band seems to travel very closely between the line of prog and prog metal, it really seems that the foot lands on the side of progressive rock. The album is a concept piece that does not contain a weak cut. The most obvious influence on the disc is Dream Theater, but there are others present. The vocals are very much in the vein of Geoff Tate and Ronnie James Dio. If you like your prog with a hard edge, this one is a highly recommended CD. Pain of Salvation is Daniel Gildenlöw, Frederik Hermansson, Johan Langell, Kristoffer Gildenlöw, and Johan Hallgren.
