Legacy's 1999 reissue of The Very Best of Poco may not contain any songs from the group's reunion, but they're not missed, since this winds up being a generous, 14-track overview of the band at its peak. Yes, there may be a fan favorite or two missing (they may be satiated by the inclusion of a couple of live tracks), but the key songs from Richie Furay and Jim Messina's country-rock outfit are here, making this an excellent representation of the band's best work.
