Rasa is Kim Waters and Hans Christian. Waters is an accomplished vocalist. Her wordless vocals add class and panache to the music. Christian is a classically trained cellist and multi-instrumentalist. He creates warm atmospheres with his diversity. Rasa in Concert demonstrates their ability to create deep worldbeat soundscapes in real time. Waters' voice is sweet and smooth. Christian uses live loops on his five instruments to generate a layered sound. This CD is an awesome set of ambient soundscapes. It is appropriate for meditation and focused listening or for background ambience. It will appeal to fans of Yungchen Lhamo, Vas, and Sheila Chandra.
