With Romeo’s (née Lil’) first single under his new moniker, he took aim at Lil’ Bow Wow: “16 and I don’t live at home with my mother,” but now with “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” he shows another side of his new grown-up personality: unconditional love. Romeo rhymes atop muted swells of strings about his climb to the top, the tough love his famous father (Master P) showed him along the way and how he’ll never take what he’s earned for granted. It’s a sentiment you rarely hear—and one that only comes with the sort of maturity that is truly genuine.
