The compositions of Robin Rimbaud, aka Scanner, range from mellow, cinematic ambient pieces to quasi-industrial binges of heavy beats. Embedded in these pieces are snippets of conversation, often captured surreptitiously from cell telephone communications. Transmogrified through filters and exhibited in Rimbaud's aural curiosities museum, this oral flotsam becomes ghosts captured in a jar and held up for examination.
