Reconstruction

Scott Miller and The Commonwealth

  • We Say...

You may know Scott Miller and the Commonwealth as the house band backing up Jeff Foxworthy on his Blue Collar TV show, but the group made their name way before they had Larry the Cable Guy hamming it up in front of them. In fact, Miller and co. put on live shows so powerful that it seemed like a natural decision to put out a record documenting the experience. Enter Reconstruction: an album that combines crunchy hooks, driving beats and a chance every time out for a boozy sing-along. The Commonwealth is a uniquely tight band, whether it be on the group’s original or the outstanding cover of Tom Petty’s “Spike.” While it’s playing you can almost hear Larry, humming along, marveling at his boys getting it done.
