  • We Say...

You will find few fiercer champions of Atlanta hip-hop than Killer Mike, a fiery and fearlessly outspoken rapper and former Outkast associate who has survived a cratered major-label deal and a completely scrapped full-length album with his dignity and passionate love of rap music and hip hop culture intact. Underground Atlanta is his personally guided tour through the current Atlanta rap underground. "Oh Yeah" is a magnetic example of the sort of synthesizer-heavy ghetto-superhero music that has become the norm in the wake of the success of Young Jeezy, and it sets the tone for the massively scaled street motivational anthems you can find in abundance on Killer Mike's absurdly generous sampler.
