  • They Say...

Telefuzz is the project of Don Verbrilli, and Sleep is an excellent recording of downtempo, chilled grooves. Some may refer to this as ambient, but only in the sense of the Orb or some of the early chill-out artists, but at the end of the day, this recording is no more ambient than any of the other downtempo chill recordings that are out there on the scene. This is a good recording, though, either way you cut it; it's original with its breakbeats, and, at times, tribal rhythms. Telefuzz is surely brought to life by a series of lush, ethereal synth pads that rise and fade up through and behind the rhythms. If you like a good downtempo recording, then this is certainly one that you'll enjoy.
