The album features a great majority of the legendary western songs and cowboy performers, including Gene Autry, Sons of the Pioneers, Rex Allen, Harry Jackson, Patsy Montana, and Riders in the Sky. As far as introductions to Western music go, there are few albums better than American Cowboy Songs.
