Nothing is Okay

by

The Everybodyfields

  • We Say...

There's not much more of a downer than the Everybodyfields' album cover for Nothing Is Okay. It depicts an upside down rainbow, topped by rain clouds. Unfortunately, the contents of the disc don't get much happier. Track titles like "Lonely Anywhere," "Leaving Today," "Wasted Time" and "Over and Done" litter the record like tear-stained Dear John letters. Jill Andrews and Sam Quinn, the group's foundation, sing their songs of sorrow together, aided by Josh Oliver and Tom Pryor, who color the haunting tunes with keyboard, guitar and pedal steel. If you're looking for music to accompany a quietly desperate Saturday night, the Everybodyfields have your soundtrack ready and waiting.
