  • They Say...

Morris let nearly 1,000 tomorrows pass between his second and third albums, but it was apparently time well spent. While the period separating Global Chillage from It's Tomorrow Already was one of the most explosive in post-rave electronica, Morris didn't let the rootless eclecticism he's long championed in his DJ sets follow him into the recording studio. Tomorrow is remarkably consistent and suffers little from the overzealousness that tends to plague music that knows too much about itself. Many of the tracks display the same fusion of warm synths, pattery rhythms, and drug-aligned voiceovers that fill Chillage and the still-classic Flying High, but the loose organicism of Ninja-styled downtempo (as on "Nepalese Bliss" and the title cut) makes a nice addition to the mix.
