The fifth album from this Ohio-based quartet is subtle, beautiful, and haunting. Things never quite rise above strums and whispers, and the sameness of it all can get a bit monotonous, but the commitment to making lovely, adult modern music is estimable. Also working in its favor is a thematic tie, while still obscured, folds the music into a cogent whole.
