    Riding Thunder offers a broad range of emotions integral in the nature of flute music. Inspired by the role the horse played in history of Native Americans, The Native American Flute Ensemble has composed a story of often reflective musical images of wild horses on the plain. It begins when the first horses escape from a shipwrecked Spanish galleon and crescendos with a buffalo hunt on the Great Plains. In keeping with the imagery, Riding Thunder fixes the muted sounds of thundering hooves and nature into some of the cuts. Native American percussion instruments, some of them pre-Columbian, and synthesizers help to create the images...
