They Say...
The soundtrack to the John Waters film Pecker is a concise and entertaining package of cheeky little tunes. One can imagine John Waters waltzing about his living room wearing a leopard print robe with this one playing. The highlights include novelty songs such as "Happy-Go-Lucky," "I'm a Nut," "Oh! Oh!," "Baltimore, You're Home to Me," "Pecker Man," and a handful more that make this a collection worth having even for those not interested in the film or John Waters. Those interested in John Waters and the film will be able to enjoy some of the filler such as the dance song "Straight Boys" (from a great scene but not really an essential listen by itself) and the instrumental snippets that recall the bopping along feel of the film. As with most of anything Waters touches, this is very entertaining.
