London Time Volume 2 (feat. Eric Clapton)

by

The Yardbirds

  • We Say...

This thrilling early set from the Yardbirds boasts spectacular guitar playing by two guitar legends (Clapton and Page). Whether tearing up the center of the rollicking "Choker" or stumbling across the terrifically muddy "Draggin' My Tail", the 'birds find the middle ground between the blues and garage rock and revel in it. Some of the material here is so gritty and dirty it would sound at home among the riotous Nuggets-worshippers on the Sundazed label. Longtime fans will enjoy London Time, Vol. 2 as a historical document, but newcomers skeptical of Clapton and Page's classic rock pedigree will be surprised and charmed by their ragged beginnings.
