  • We Say...

Edie Sedgwick (real name: Justin Moyer)'s Things are Getting Sinister and Sinisterer represents a whole slew of firsts for legendary DC punk label Dischord: it's a vinyl and MP3 release only, no CD; each song is named after (and inspired by) notable celebrities or pop culture moments; and each song will feature an accompanying video, available on Moyer's blog ediesedgwick.biz. Bells and whistles aside, Things has all the sneering energy that's become a hallmark of Dischord releases. Moyer uses barebones electronic pulses, distorted bass and unadorned drums to stark effect, revealing a weird, wild mind that's never at rest.
