  • They Say...

The second Billie Holiday collection focuses on her renditions of American popular-song classics like "Body and Soul," "Night and Day," "Until the Real Thing Comes Along," "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man," "Them There Eyes" and "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off." Holiday was at her best when interpreting standards, and virtually all of the 18 selections here were recorded early in her career (the late '30s or early '40s). There are many Billie Holiday collections available, but this budget-priced disc is great value for money.
