  • They Say...

Another in a long line of Cleopatra industrial tributes, An Industrial Rock Tribute to Judas Priest throws a novel wrinkle into the label's formula by enlisting '80s pop-metal veterans to contribute guest vocals (bands represented include Warrant, Bulletboys, and LA Guns, among many others). Most of the tracks here were first produced by Cleopatra-affiliated industrial artists, and then remixed for a more dance-oriented flavor. Of course, some songs work better than others in this musical context; it can also be a little jarring to hear some of these vocalists outside of their usual settings. But ultimately, that makes the album a tad more intriguing than the average Cleopatra tribute.
