  • They Say...

Trying to appeal to the engaged couples who prefer Mayer to Mozart, Modern Wedding Collection takes 12 songs and reinterprets them with a string quartet, giving new meaning (perhaps) to Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes," the Smashing Pumpkins' "Today," or Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars." There's no way to avoid the cheesiness factor, but casting that aside, these versions are actually done pretty well. Enough to put on the Cure's "Just Like Heaven" instead of Wagner's "Bridal Chorus?" Probably not. But enough to consider it.
