  • They Say...

Vortex Rhythms is a set of ethnic acoustics combined with atmospheres and contemporary electronics. Gerald Jay Markoe, recording as Ancient Brotherhood, displays a special sensitivity to the traditions and heritage of Native American music. He incorporates elements of that style into his sound design. He does not imitate the sound. Rather, he incorporates it, thus embellishing and complimenting it with his own unique flair. This disc will appeal to fans of R. Carlos Nakai, Coyote Oldman, and Douglas Spotted Eagle.
