They Say...
Focusing on more modern artists performing modern classical standards, Classical Hits is an interesting addition to the world of classical compilations. Featuring artists as diverse as Yo Yo Ma and Sarah Brightman, this pulls together several recognizable compositions onto one good collection. Of the modern songs found on the album, John Williams' "Duel of the Fates" and James Horner's "Rose" are probably the most recognizable. But many other modern composers, including Ennio Morricone and Andrew Lloyd Weber, find their way onto the album as well. Anyone interested in what is happening in commercial classical music will probably find this album a treat, and even fans of the individual songs found here will probably enjoy the other compositions as well.
