Listen to the album not the haters

velocipede

For me this evokes a lot of great bands of my youth, including Joy Division, The Church, Sonic Youth and The Sisters of Mercy, but it pummels the listener harder and more frequently. The album still has plenty of melody and hooks, but it rocks hard and harsh in a good way.

Worth a listen

cottser

I picked up their self-titled LP from here a while back and wasn't super impressed, a bit too harsh for me. I haven't heard any of their releases in between, but this strikes a much better balance than their first LP. If you like this, check out the Sports album from the band Weekend as well.
