It's different, and in a genre (metalcore) that has become beyond stagnant, it's cool to see a band trying something different. They have taken what Still Remains hinted at on their last album and taken it to the next level without becoming cheesy like Breathe Carolina. Looking forward to seeing this band's progression.
I'm a big fan of hardcore/metal music and have a soft spot in my heart for overproduced pop music. Abandon All Ships tries to mix the two genres and fails beyond belief. This song is awful. The intro sounds like a videogame and the deathgrunts don't mix well with the overwrought autotune. And the video - filled with synchronized, choreographed headbanging, is too ridiculous to be believed. My kids laughed themselves sick.
