Great sound and playing
Neville Marriner is much better known for his conducting of the classical and baroque era composers than the early romantics. Here, he proves to be an outstanding Schumann conductor. I only downloaded the Rhenish but it is exceptional, especially the playing of the brass. I have never heard the horns parts played this beautifully and they are extremely important in this symphony. If you love the romantic composers, you should definitely download this recording of the Rhenish.
