Get Hung Up
An excellent album of pop gems. Once 'Theme from...' kicks in you know where you stand. It gives you that nice glow you get inside when you're in a place you really like or with your friends having a pint and a laugh on a sunny afternoon. Not that it's sickly sweet songs on here though. It's full of bittersweet songs and done in a way that you dont feel sad at the end of it. Always a sense of hope in there somewhere. Sounding like the best pop songs of the 60s with a nod to (dare I say it) Elliot Smith- sorry for tagging, but I do detect a hint in the vocals and that's no bad thing. Not to say they are merely copying here. ALL MY FRIENDS HAVE A MAGIC ALL OF THEIR OWN.
