I am no expert on Middle Eastern music, although I have been a fan of Shakti with John McLaughlin and have listened to Ravi Shankar and nephew, L. Shankar intermittently for a number of years, but this is very interesting and even catchy. As a percussionist I am enamored with the rhythms.
