Great all round...
Recording: 1st rate; Performance: 1st rate. Ana has chops and more than enough "musical maturity" to tackle the Bagatelles. Well done, Ms. Vidovic.

I disagree with the previous review. Admittedly, her amazing technique lets her play some pieces much faster than we're used to hearing them, but she makes these tempi very convincing (though sometimes rests get shortened a bit, which can be jarring). As for "musical immaturity"... I'll let track 8 (Sonata romantica II. Andante epressivo - Ponce) answer that charge.
I was very dissapointed in this recording. The program is fantastic, almost a collection of all my favorites. The performance is another thing. Usually Vidovic plays too fast to bring out the overall concept of the pieces. This recording becomes a highlight of both Ana's prodigious chops and lack of musical maturity. In her defense, she was very young at the time of recording, she has improved since then. But then, where was the producer in this recording?
