This is best listened to in the dark with the system turned right up. If you like your ambiant active this probably isn't for you. It is a work with atmosphere that builds beautifully and hauntingly. As with a lot of minimal work what isn't happening is as impotant as what is. It works for me.
This is easily the most pathetic and pointless attempt at dark ambient I've ever heard, and the single worst thing I've downloaded from eMusic or anywhere else. 30 second samples don't tell you anything about releases in this style, so I downloaded the first track only, and it's...NOTHING. It starts with some thumping sounds and a warbling wind noise. Then it goes COMPLETELY SILENT until almost the end. Then you hear some more thumping and warbling wind noise. And that's IT. This 'album' BEGINS with a 16-minute track that's almost all silence. Needless to say I will never waste another credit on this garbage, and neither should you. Satan should have his legal department issue a Cease-And-Desist against whoever is responsible for this nonsense on the grounds that it tarnishes his name and makes him (Satan, that is) look bad.
