A 'grower'
Took a few listens to get into but well worth the wait.

It's true, the emusic review is miles off. Nothing like Dream Theater (apart from musical virtuosity). Jorn is a great hard rock vocalist and tracks like 'Heal', 'Burn' and 'Just A Little' are musical powerhouses - great chops and songcraft. There is also a good variety across the album - some tracks are more immediate, others take a while to digest. But overall, it's essential listening! But back to the AMG review - who exactly are these hair metal virtuosos?
It is absolutely awesome to hear that somebody out there still plays this kind of music. Thanks guys. Keep it up!
Don't know who wrote the hilarious emusic review (only power and hair metal in the 90s???) but this is definitely not power metal ie Helloween/Blind Guardian/Iced Earth have very little to do with the super technical prog metal prowess of superband Ark. With metal god JLande at the helm, Ark present us with a CD of smoldering metallic executions worth of our attention as members of the royal society for the destruction of grunge. Check out track n.9 this is maybe how Sting would sound in a progmetal context. Jorn performs his best Coverdale voice throughout the album, and in the last track his lyricism nears Freddie Mercury`s heaviest moments, in the humble opinion of this society. 5 stars!!
I have this on CD and it features Jorn Lande on vocals, the music is melodic progressive metal and it rocks download it while it is available.
