a little disappointed becuase I thought it was the actual group. some songs definitely sound like a remake group..

Well......

fragglerock414

Remakes or not, these aren't Atlantic Starr's greatest hits anyway.

Horrible Remakes!!!!

EMUSIC-01C4C2E7

I'm so disappointed with this site!!! Extremely happy with my Audio Book and 10 songs.

Not the best remake either....

maxidmartin

I can rip the original CDs to my MP3/4 player and have the best quality sound compared to these remakes...if you really have an ear for music you know these are not worth it.

NOT ORIGINALS

lkantrov

Downloaded "Always"...definitely not the original hit recording. Don't be fooled by the AMG review as I was. Listen to a sample from their other greatest hits albums on Amaz*n if you want to compare. This recording sounds pitiful by comparison.

INDIE music

charis88

To all you complainers ... just FYI, emusic is an INDIE MUSIC SITE (all you had to do was read the "About Us" page on the site). Since it distributes music from independent labels, you will rarely find the formulaic, 3-minute-long drivel usually played on top-40 radio stations. And MANY of us are SO grateful. For crying out loud, try expanding your musical horizons! And, before you download, by all means, listen to the samples beforehand.

Can't Believe It!!!!

I've just signed up on this site today and I am so disappointed. All the songs sound like remakes of the originals. There are no decent sounding recordings on this site. I am so disappointed!

re-record?

mr_shifter

i'm a great fan of the original line-up and can definitely say these are not the original versions i am guessing that this is a recent "re-record"....this is when the group goes back in the studio and cuts a new version of songs they recorded previously on a big label...inevitably the budgets/production etc are not comparable, but sometimes the new versions have their own appeal...i am thinking of a james ingram album including re-records of hits like just once which is quite good. the reason for doing this is so that the artists can make better money, but it should be made absolutely clear on the album cover or the notes so that people know exactly what to expect. i dont care much for these versions, but assume that ktel are licensing the masters for commercials etc and if this gives the Lewis brothers a better revenue slice then good for them. Me I'll stick to the originals.

disillusioned

bwyoga

I'm going back to the multinational mp3 store cuz NOTHING on this site is authentic!!! So sad. Imagine going into a major record/cd store, buying what is advertised as 'Atlantic Starr' or 'Todd Rundgren' or whatever you are into..bringing it home and listening to it and finding out it is actually the local guys down the pub impersonating them. That's most of eMusic in a nutshell. Bunch of pants!!

They Say All Music Guide

While definitely not as thorough as 2000s superb Ultimate Collection, All-Time Greatest Hits lives up to its name by harvesting the most well-known songs of the smooth adult contemporary R&B powerhouse. Covering the early years, as well as the chart-topping later phase of their career, it’s a comprehensive survey of the groups outstanding two-decade career that is virtually free of filler and lesser-known material. Those looking for simply the basics should start either here. or with the equally accessible 20th Century Masters anthology. – Rob Theakston
