Unrefined is good

I agree this album is less refined, but often that brings about creativity not found in mainstream bands. I'm not going to say taht this album is for all but I sure loved it. I'd recommend though that everyone at least listens to #3, a Glimpse of (in)sanity. Then again it might corrupt your soul.

Finding their feet

If you're new to Ava Inferi, you definitely want to start with "The Silhouette" and "Blood Of Bacchus" first, and (possibly) work your way backwards to this. Unfortunately "Burdens" just isn't that strong, whereas the later albums exhibit a much more refined and coherent sound.
