Aziza rules!
I found this recording chasing downsession recordings by Al DiMeola. Some of which are gems and some are less that precious. THis appearance rivals his solo work for the quality and virtuosity of his playing. Aziza more than holds her own with the stellar cast of session players. I cannot understand how this record got a genre label of pop. It is jazz. or it is classical or it is ethnic/world. Aziza sings as well as she plays. Any scat fan will have no problems with Aziza singing in her native language. THe recording if first rate end to end. I DLed all Aziza that EMUSIC had to offer and went looking for more.
