The Golden Age...?

It's a good record, but XTC fans might want to stick with just tracks 1-5, rather than the whole thing. The similarity is definitely there... it's slightly reminiscent of The Big Express, or maybe even Wasp Star, at least until you get to track 6.

NOT "Power pop."

Interesting beats/backbeats/hints of fusion/tastes of techno. Sort of post-pop-alt-techno-rock-pseudo metal. Not my cup of tea, but talented musicians here.
