Not northern soul
Please tell whoever compiled this album that this ain't northern soul. Baby Washington does have a couple of northern soul style tunes but these ain't they.... For a basic lesson on what is northern soul, think of the beat of The Four Tops' I can't help myself and there you have it! Although when you really understand what its all about you'll find things can get a lot slower,funkier and sometimes more rhythm 'n bluesier and even on occasions house and garagey. Its a complex scene matey.
