Brilliant & Adventurous
If you like melodies right along with your hard-hitting and exploratory rock, these are your guys. This album is one high point after another - be sure to check out "A Love Story" which was my favorite song of 2006. Great use of dynamics, terrific and fun lyrics, inventive melodic landscapes. I saw this material played live first, and that was what hooked me, but the album doesn't sound sterile, it's absolutely energetic. Most people tell me Beardfish reminds them of Zappa.
