New Bearfoot, Same Quality
3/5 of the band had changed from just the last album, but there is a stylistic consistency and growth between this and \"Doors and Windows\". Gone is 3 part female harmony, but Nora Jane Struthers steps in on lead vocals and embraces the Bearfoot style in a very winning way. Todd Grebe joins as well and brings his Cold Country style into the mix in a manner that sounds at home in the bluegrass meets American by the way of some country style that is Bearfoot. The last standing founding members Anglea and Jason step up their instrumental prowess which is why despite a change in members the sound of Bearfoot reminds this delightful acoustic blend of styles. Despite or maybe because of three changes in the lead vocals in three albums who each contribute significantly to the song writing \"American Story\" shows Bearfoot to be a band better than ever.
