refreshing vibrant and so good for you
BJH makes Florence, Little Boots and Lady Gaga so yesterday and uninspiring - more Espers and CocoRosie than any of the above it is testament to this "band" they they have supported Bon Iver, Mumford & Sons, Tuung, Imogen Heap and St Vincent but the most important gig was at Lancaster Library - the kick off point for some great acts of the last few years. BJH is described as a "sweet-folk" singer song-writer but she is in fact much more than that folk-music with glamour, influenced by world music - and boy can she play that guitar - clever lyrics, wry and funny and the voice of Kate Rusby. BJH is from N'castle and is just lovely. xx
