If nothing else...

Allegory

Download Sightsee MC. It's one of my favorite songs from the 80's. I can still put it on anytime. It hasn't gotten old after hundreds of spins

A Very Strong Followup, With One Specific Weakness

Godozo

The music is much less cluttered on this LP than on "This Is...," the lyrics are much more focused on what was present-day Britain (thanks to Joe Strummer, who helped out Jones on five songs), and Mich Jones has cut down his verse/song ratio from four verses to three. Even with the smaller average song length, however, there's still plenty of extra tuneage at the end - an issue which would mar Megatop Phoenix, in my opinion. There's also a clunker in "Dial A Hitman," which is more an exerrcise in album padding than an actual song. The last three downloads are more remixes which were added on at the end of CDs to market them as better than LPs. However, you can't go wrong in downloading the other 8 songs (1-7,9).

They Say All Music Guide

Temporarily reuniting with his former Clash partner Joe Strummer (who co-produced this album and co-wrote five songs), Mick Jones expands on the formula of the debut with Big Audio Dynamite’s second album. No. 10 Upping Street features better songs that meld samples, found sounds, dance rhythms, and elements of hip-hop more completely and effectively than those on the first record. “C’mon Every Beatbox” and “V. Thirteen” made the U.K. singles chart. “Badrock City,” added to the album after its initial release, made the U.S. R&B singles chart. – Stephen Thomas Erlewine
