Best band of the last ten years
Well, maybe I like the Hold Steady a bit better, but its neck and neck. This is nothing like The Hold Steady, and I won't even attempt to describe Big Block 454 other than to say intensely weird and intensely normal at the same time. Their songs on this record are impressively different from each other on a song to song basis, but always superlative. Emusic, please get Bratislava (that one is a bit mellower)
