We need more
Although a great CD, there are so many more great songs by Big Sandy. Would love to search emusic one day and see more of his stuff to complete my collection! Power of the 45 and Haunted Heels will stay with you after hearing them.

I can't even begin to write how many times I start singing "Ruby Jane" for no apparent reason. Both this and "It's Time" are more than worth the downloads. It's discovering things like Big Sandy that make eMusic worthwhile.
I first got introduced to Big Sandy by a friend a few years ago. This happy rockabilly music with bluesy lyrics have always since taken a special place in my collection. I must say I have never heard a bad album by Big Sandy, and this is another winner. The soul track is a big surprise for me, but they somehow always know how to keep if fresh with each new album. On 'Its Time' they had a Cajun influence with accordion (and I wish they would use more of this). The guitar soloing is never overused and the playing and technique just gets better all the time. It has become more subtle since "Wishing I was Lucky", where it was most prominent. Strongly recommended.
Whether you like Rock n Roll, Rockabilly or Western Swing Big Sandy is the man. I like his authentic old style instrumentation and arrangements. If there has been a mediocre Big Sandy album, I never heard it.
Best song is the title track. It's time is a better overall album, I think.
