They Say All Music Guide

The wordily titled I Was so Unpopular in School and Now They’re Giving Me This Beautiful Bicycle is the debut album from eccentric Swedish collective Billie the Vision and the Dancers. Released in 2004, it’s a combination of cutesy indie, traditional folk and rather unique lyrical content, which echoes the chamber pop of fellow Swedes I’m from Barcelona and the Concretes. Featuring the singles “Ask for More,” and “Summercat,” a song made famous by its use in an Estella Damm commercial, the band also distributed the album for free through their official website. – Jon O’Brien
