I'm not usually a huge fan of singer-songwriter stuff, and if one more person jumps on the "bear" and "animal" bandwagon I'm gonna cut somebody, even though I love bears and animals. But Billy Harvey rocks, in the singer-songwriter not really rocking way. But this is seriously great and relevant music - spot on attitude, melodies, lyrics, production. Best thing to come out of Austin in ages. Think Beck but not so annoyingly postmodern, or Kimya Dawson but not so cloyingly cutesy. Tons of finesse here, very accomplished songwriting.
