This is exactly what the title says: the intersection of Broadway and soul. Mr. Porter lets loose, gets down, and soars. He's also very funny and definitely has a way with a wry bon mot. His rendition of "Last Midnight" is stellar, and his own compositions are stirring and emotionally true. Bravo... and be sure to see him off-Broadway when he appears as Belize in the revival of "Angels in America," which opens in October 2010 at the Peter Norton Space!
